How do I activate the Journey Japan eSIM?
After purchasing your eSIM, you’ll get an email containing a QR Code, an activation code, and instructions to install the eSIM. Follow the instructions and you should have no issues in activating your eSIM once you arrive in Japan.
When should I activate my Journey Japan eSIM?
To make the most of your eSIM, complete the activation as soon as or just before you arrive in Japan, so you can connect as soon as you land. (Installation can be done over WiFi anywhere in the world, but Activation and connection will only be available upon arrival.) Don't forget to enable Data Roaming for your plan and device! This ensures you get the full number of days of data access included in your plan. If you don't activate your eSIM within the allotted activation window (45 days from your purchase date for Japan eSIM Data Plans, or 180 days for True Unlimited 5G plans), your plan's validity period (7, 15, or 30 days depending on your plan) will begin automatically.
What do I do if I delete or lose my eSIM’s Activation Code?
First, do not delete or remove the eSIM once installed on your device, as it cannot be reinstalled or reissued. If this has happened, you will need to purchase a new plan to receive a new eSIM Activation Code.
