How long does my Journey Japan eSIM plan last?
It depends on your plan! Our 10GB, 20GB, & 50GB Japan Data Plans all allow up to 30 days of usage, while our True Unlimited 5G plans are available in 7-day, 15-day, and 30-day durations. Once installed and activated, the usage period will begin.
Will Journey Japan eSIM Unlimited Plan restrict my daily data usage?
Nope! There is no daily throttling, speed reduction, or daily threshold for cellular data use attached to this plan. The Journey Japan eSIM Unlimited Plans are meant to feel truly unlimited!
How can I check how much data I have left?
By accessing your eSIM profile you can check how much data usage remains. This link can be found in your eSIM activation email. Also, you can check through your device’s setting under the “Cellular” or “Mobile Data” section. For iOS, go to Settings -> Cellular -> Mobile Data. For Android, go to Settings and search for “Data usage.”
What Japan Data Plans do you offer?
We currently offer a variety of Japan Data Plans such as 10GB, 20GB, and 50GB of Japan Data. Each plan is built specifically for Japan travel, allowing up to 30 days of usage.
Do you offer extra Top-Up data?
Yes! If you're running low, you can add extra Top-Up data to your fixed-data Japan eSIM plan at any time. The extra data attaches directly to the eSIM you already have, so you can keep exploring without missing a beat.
Where can I buy extra data?
You can buy extra data for your fixed-data plan through the link in your eSIM confirmation email, via your eSIM profile login. Open your eSIM profile, choose a Top-Up, and complete your purchase in just a few clicks. The data is added to your active eSIM automatically.
How long is my Top-Up valid?
Your Top-Up extends the data period on your existing eSIM, so you get more data and more time to use it. The exact validity is shown before you complete your purchase.
Do I need to purchase a new eSIM to Top-Up?
No! Your Top-Up attaches to the eSIM already active and installed on your device. There is no new QR code to scan, nothing to reinstall, and no settings to change. You can Top-Up in just a few clicks.
How quickly can I receive my Top-Up data?
Instantly! Your Top-Up attaches to your active eSIM as soon as your purchase is complete. If you still have data left on your original plan, you'll finish that first, then roll straight onto your Top-Up with no interruption.
Are Top-Ups refundable?
No, all Top-Up purchases are final and non-refundable. If something went wrong with your order, please reach out to our support team via the chatbox or contact form and we'll help you out.
Can I Top-Up my Unlimited plan?
Top-Ups are available for our fixed-data plans only. Unlimited plans already come with unrestricted data, so there's no allowance to add to.
Can I Top-Up after I've used all my data?
Yes! As long as your plan hasn't reached its expiry date, you can purchase a Top-Up and get straight back online. Your eSIM stays on your device, so there's nothing to set up again.
My plan has expired. Can I still Top-Up?
Once your plan has expired, you'll need to activate a new line to add a Top-Up. If you think you'll need more data, or you're extending your trip, it's worth adding a Top-Up before your plan expires.
Can I buy more than one Top-Up?
Yes! There's no cap on Top-Ups. As long as your line is still active, you can Top-Up as many times as you need.
What network does my Top-Up data use?
The same network as your original plan. A Top-Up adds data to your existing eSIM, it doesn't change your coverage or your speed.
